HEY!

I knew Manny David since Highschool and we both had a passion for creating things and bringing them to life. Manny is someone that has always supported my work and has always given me his thoughts about my projects, so when he told me that he was making an album I was more than happy to design his cover Fisherman I made multiple different covers so there a was a varity to choose from, I didnt want him to feel stuck in only choosing one or sway the decisions to one particular design, I wanted his involvement and thoughts on it, that 9/10 always produces the projects I enjoy the most.

Sub-Ordinary is a magazine I started in 2023 with my friend Omar Grandillo, Starting a magazine has always been a passion of mine, and i'm grateful that I can full creative control of the design and layout of this magazine. It's a place where I can expreiment and test new layouts.

This is the first issue of Sub-Ordinary and it was a great learning experience, I learned how to use InDesign and how to create a magazine layout. I also learned how to work with a team and how to communicate effectively. This issue is about school and the different experiences we had in high school.

This was a Workshop that was held for 3 days and was led by Edel Rodrguiez where he taught us his process of making mutiple versions of everything you make and to SAVE EVERYTHING, because you won't know how you can use those pieces for another puzzle. it was a termendous pleasure to learn from him and have the opportunity to make a more charged design.
